Great images, Gary/Ducatigaz! Here's the best I could do the last days. A robin from behind the glas in our kitchen. Taken with the M300/4 green star on my K-50.

This was not taken with a 300mm lens, but I thought it was interesting to post following the image you posted of a European robin. The species seems to be fond of perching on human stonework.

A short Eared Owl landed at the edge of a field just as the light was starting to drop off. Taken with my K-3ii/FA*600mm F4 ED [IF]/Gitzo 5532LS.

That's about as sharp an image can be.

Thanks. I have been looking to photograph a woodpecker for a couple of years now but never had the chance. Someone told me about a place that is not too far away that I never knew existed, I turned up and got that on the first go.

Trying to get some shots of Verdin hopping around the tree this AM, the woodpecker stuck his head out from behind the feeder and photo-bombed the shot. I thought I missed him doing that, got a chuckle when I was processing the images. K-1 + DA*300, heavy crop.
