The camera shop where it came from had it done as part of the deal.

Ducatigaz,

Very Nice!

Was that at f5.6? With that length lens, it is hard to know how close the vegetation (out of focus) is to the bird. Is it a hard focus due to a thin focal plane? Or is it just the compression of the field of view due to long focal length? I bet it looks like a shoulder fired rocket launcher poking out of your car!

A robin taken with my K-5/Sigma 800mm F5.6 APO EX from my car with a Kirk window mount/RRS BH-55 ballhead.
I'm waiting for a sunny day and then I can fine adjust the AF on my K-3ii/K-5

50% crop

Sivakumar,

Beautiful shot of the falcons. They have their eyes on something!

Ducatigaz,

You have a fine wildlife lens in that Sigma 800 f5.6. The resolution of the feather structure is great. The blurring of the background "pops" the subject. Nice birding lens. Great image and lens.

End of the month bird count.....

Today's images DA 55-300 PLM hand held.

2 American Tree Sparrows

Approx. 20 Blue Jays

2 Downy woodpeckers

Two hairy Woodpeckers

Between 6 and 20 chickadees

Two Redbreasted Nuthatches

Maybe 3 or four squirrels.

I have no current images for the Roughed Grouse who comes by once every few days.

It's probably still this lady and she was out there this morning fluffing up the snow.
