Both KP, DA TC1.4x & DA55-300PLM @ 420 mm.

The second image showed all aberrations you can imagine - blue and yellow, red and cyan. The only software that managed it really well was Apple Aperture 3 that offers two sliders that work extremely well to manage it manually. Capture One Pro, Affinity Photo, Apple Photos and Adobe Bridge CS4 / Adobe Camera Raw, that also offers two sliders for this purpose, couldn't manage it properly!

So I exported the image from Apple Aperture to 16 bit tiff and finished it in Capture One Pro.

Still in Costa Rica - spent most of yesterday's afternoon golden hour by an old pasture, waiting for the birds to get a bit closer and hopefully land on a bush or a twig rather than a wire, and facing in a nice direction!. They were skittish so most are heavy crops.

We've had lots of Canada Geese in our area for a long time, and if there is much water open during the winter they never really migrate south. When it freezes up hard here, they only migrate far enough southward to find open water, and when we get a thaw they are back here very quickly. However, with the reflooding of a large Illinois River floodplain lake near here, we have a lot more snow geese migrating through spring and fall, and a lot more pelicans in warmer months. The Canada Geese don't seem to mind the company.

Friendly Yellow-vented Flowerpecker at the RDC Sandakan, the group of this species are not commonly to be seen over here in Singapore, as compare to the Scarlet-backed flowerpecker and the orange-bellied flowerpecker.

How do you like your 65B so far?

I acquired mine a little over a year ago, and geese were some of my early subjects, too

The lens is good but not great. CA is its major shortcoming. Weighs as much as a young child.
I really need to get the 150-450 DA, however at over $2000 plus 6% PA tax, it just never happens. Unless, of course I start selling off my collection of classic wide aperture SMC-K glass. Never sure what to do.

Captured this Carolina Wren late yesterday afternoon with the 65B

The 65B is indeed heavy, but it balances better than the similarly hefty 300/2.8 360B. And it works great with the A 1.4x-L rear converter.

I, too, have thought about selling my old, fast glass and buying the DFA 150-450... AF and WR would be so nice... but the old lenses are so cool and I enjoy the variety, so I'm indecisive, and I can't afford to buy the 150-450 without selling something
