I was in the Intercoastal at St. Augustine Florida using the K 3 II + HD Pentax-D FA 150-450mm F4.5-5.6 ED DC AW hand held on a moving pontoon boat

some times it was at the minimum 150mm to give me the best chance to find the Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins as they would rise and then dive and sometimes I had it at longer focal lengths -

Brown Pelican doing a fly by of the sand bar [ don't know the other bird which I was targeting when the pelican flew over behind it ]

Male Superb Fairy-wren.
The 'other half' to the female I posted recently, both of which were getting their knickers in a knot over the 'interlopers' reflected in the car window.
K-3 II, D FA 150-450 + 1.4x TC, handheld. See exif for shot details.

Cheers,
Terry

Tamron Adaptall 300/2.8 360B + Pentax F 1.7x AFA

For the mourning dove I used AF, but the other shots I used MF because the 1.7x AFA does not like low-contrast subjects and the DOF was excruciatingly narrow for the coot.

I caught a few images of these delightful little fairy wrens, but I didn't have a long lens with me.

I got out of bed at 04:45am and waited ages for this bird to turn up. K-3/FA*600mm F4 ED [IF]/Gitzo 5532LS.

Thanks for looking.

I'm completed my Pitta's collection in Singapore. Finally recorded this Mangrove Pitta on this morning. Pictures were taken with Kp, DA300 + HD TC 1.4

If the birds knew more about your credentials, perhaps they would be a bit more cooperative. Great shots.
