I always miss the Juncos when they go back north to breed in the warm weather months.

Ours showed up a week ago. With extra insulating film on double pane windows, I haven't even tried to snap them. I spilled seed in out carport under our trailer while moving stuff around and they found it right away. I've since cleaned and filled the main feeder.

K1 attached Celestron 9 1/4 inch f10 lens (2350mm f10). iso400 1/400 second
Here is my moon shot from two days ago. At this focal length, the super moon barely fits on a full frame sensor.

That's the Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector, right? Nice kit, great pic. What was your technique?

Over the past few days I've been renewing acquaintances with my Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 200-500mm F5.6 (31A), a pretty good lens that sometimes gets a bit lost among the seeming myriad of long tele lenses I own.

All of these images have been cropped by over 90% - not something I normally do, but I was interested in how far I could push things...

Yes. This is the Celestron Edge. I have it on a tracking mount. I was lazy and didn't get out my remote shutter release. I put my hands on the camera and held it steady and prayed 1/400 sec would work out.
It is a single shot, nothing in processing except a little stretching of the middle of the intensity values. No sharpening. or anything else.
