We saw this guy while hiking in the Smokies last month!! He was just sitting quietly right on the side of the trail!! KS-2 with HD DA 55-300mm f4-5.8 at 300mm. Eastern timber rattler, but he was hiding his rattles!!

Red-bellied woodpecker with what has become my standard rig for bird-feeder work = Pana G9 + Oly 300mm f4 & Oly 1.4X TC. The catchlight on its eye is actually a reflection of the big picture window of our study, with the camera positioned at the right-side swing open window.

Brought 2 setup to shoot this pair of Vinous Breasted Starling
K3 + DA*300 to shoot bif while the slower fps K1 + Sigma 500 F4.5 to shoot portrait shots.

We don't have any those fancy trees in these parts, so the local Cedar waxwings (and suddenly I'm seeing a lot of them — not sure where they came from) should be safe for now.
