Do they do that?
I assume you were asking about the sheriff officers stopping by to see what I am up to. Yes they do because a lot of my favorite spots I use for astrophotography and are in local parks which closed hours before they showed up. I have after hours permits to be there so they really are checking what I am doing. I have met and talked with most of the overnight ones so if they see my car and my stuff out they just continue on but every once and a while one new to the overnight shift and doesn't know about me. Sometimes the officer will get out and and chat to find out what I am photographing on a given night and see some shots. They have never been rude and most of the time they are just looking for teenagers partying or people dumping after hours so someone who is out behaving isn't really a problem anyway. The nice thing is that having interacted with most of the officers even if I am in a spot that I don't have a permit for they just continue on since they know the worst thing I will be leaving behind is some indentations on the ground from my tripod.

I envy both your flawless technique and the wonderful diversity of birds you find to photograph.

If you want to see lots of birds in Singapore look over the Jurong Bird Park site. I went there once and spent the entire day!

This photo is a stunning. And some say Pentax cameras are not good for fast action.

Hmmm, photoshop? Glue? No, just the right place at the right time I guess.

Nice Terry, those White-plumed Honeyeaters are shy.

Haha...no glue or photoshop, just a lot of these quite tall flowers that a lot of the local birds really liked to use as lookouts.
The honeyeater didn't stay for long, I think I only managed about 4 or 5 shots in quick succession.
There were lots of wrens perching and staying put for quite a while, but all were females. I spent quite a while there waiting for a male to pop up but none did.
They are always at this location so I'll get more chances.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Terry
