This photo is a stunning. And some say Pentax cameras are not good for fast action.

I envy both your flawless technique and the wonderful diversity of birds you find to photograph.
Thanks WPRESTO, yes from time to time there are nice birds in Singapore and these are wild birds not in bird park, I only shot in Singapore Jurong Bird Park when I was a newbie trying out bird shooting using K-x + DAL 55-200 and 2 times when I got the DA*300 and Sigma 500/4.5 lenses, don't really feel proud shooting caged birds as most of the birds there their feet bears an ID tag.

Food Delivery - shot with K3+DA*300

My catch of the day, probably not the bird's. Same bird, different angle.

Nice Osprey shots. I was watching a David Attenborough video recently and he noted that Osprey's align the fish head first when flying with them to reduce the drag so they can fly more easily - as nicely shown in your photos.

Now to return to our regular programme:

Brown Goshawk (pretty sure) original + crop.

I agree - it is an immature Brown Goshawk (one of my favourite birds).

The EXIF data records 300mm but doesn't specify the lens. From the year the picture was taken (2010), it's probably the original version of the 55~300mm (BTW: red-shouldered hawk)

Hmm, I think I'll stay away from Raptors for a while. Too much competition.

Thanks Sorry for waking you up. It did not look so large when I posted it, but seems to have grown!

Hi.

By popular demand , I want to start this club thread, can I do that?

So we can post pictures and stuff about F* or FA* 300mm lenses.

Some of them are already here:
