Beautiful bird - beautiful capture! Is that rain or snow?
Rain unfortunately, but it was bitterly cold. I'm no slouch when it comes to shooting in crappy weather, but this wasnt enjoyable. I also discovered how un water tight my bag was... sad face.

Nice shot Matt, I'll have to check that place out when I'm next over in Ontario... if this COVID stuff ever ends...
They're great people - photographer groups are smallish at ~ 10 per group.

Another from the CRC - if you are ever plan to be in Southern Ontario, the conservancy is located just outside of Simcoe, and when not constrained by COVID stay at home orders etc, they do educational seminars for ~$65 CAD and will introduce you to 10 or so birds over a 2 hr period.

Lovely, Matt
Weather unkind, but everything else was great by the look of it.

Sam is the eagle?
He missed the fish, but you didn’t miss him.
That’s beautiful.

Thanks Peter. Just found out that this Grey-headed fish eagle is currently under the NT(Near Threatened) status from IUCN. Will try visit the place more often when I'm free over the weekend.

Yes. There's about more than 20 photographers along the canal in a week day. There will be more people over the weekend.

Two great images.
There is clearly intent in the dive, and success in the catch.
Beautiful.

Yup, that's the hunting mode you captured there. The focus of that bied diving down is amazing to behold and you caught that on camera. Excellent images.

Thank you Rod and HoutHans. The eagle will just dive in the early of the morning about 7.20am, I got few shots that even with slower shutter speed at 800 or 1000 as I will need to maintain my ISO max at 800 only.
