I was amused by how this swan seemed to greet the turtles when she climbed onto this tiny islet.

Shot from my car, Tamron Adaptall-2 400/4 65B + Pentax A 2x-L Rear Converter...

Interesting encounter (and good shot too, but that goes without saying...), I'm curious if you saw if she offered any more interaction to the turtles, or just settled down ignoring them after that?

That lens certainly copes will with cropping. That's some impressive detail.

No other interaction... she briefly flapped her wings and then settled down. Her mate was foraging nearby. Unfortunately I didn't have time to hang around and see what happened next.
