Very nice work there, Gaz. Good old glass still holds up well (not to mention, the photographer’s input ).

There's some nice detail in there, but the image looks a bit noisy to me.

We were very fortunate to get close to three Moose on a trail in Algonquin Park this week - probably because we were there at the right time of year for a change. Just to look around and see one standing there about 150 feet away is quite something.

If you're using darktable, you could use the denoise (profiled) or astrophoto denoise, I found they don't remove too much fine detail. Or use the Levels setting to change the black point, and turn the dark blue into inky black it's impressive how much of a difference that can make

Impressive shots! Did you have to wait for a night with good astronomical seeing, or was your shutter speed fast enough that it didn't matter?

BTW, getting an F* 300/4.5 showing up next week. Looking forward to joining the club!

That's a nice set of images. I've some moose in Sweden, though never that close. Great catch!

I would love to hear about your experience of K3iii with 560. What was your previous body and how does it compare. I have 560 but not sure if I should get K3iii or spend that money in a different system (Sony with the possible monster adapter is tempting). Thanks

I've used the 560 with the K3, K3ii, K1 and now the K3iii
Each new camera is an improvement over the prior generation and the K3iii is a real step up, but not necessarily as much for the 560.

At the risk of writing a book, I'll instead provide post numbers from this thread where I've tried to honestly relay my impressions, good and bad.
