There are several sellers on ebay and some different nametags. At 31cm x 15cm ID I can just squeeze lens + KS2 in but only after taking out the bottom padding. Not ideal! I actually msged the seller asking them to make a bigger one. The tamron 400mm should fit in, but again its fairly tight and not with a camera. My
tamron 400mm came with its original case, which I added padding to.
That Ruggard looks really good foxy, it's not so pricy either, but I am not finding many/any suppliers here in UK.
Thank you very much, that's exactly what I was looking for!
I would only use it for the lens - something to keep it in, where I can grab it in seconds if I see a bird, so that I don't have to carry it by hand all the time and tire myself out.

Originally posted by WPRESTO There are other long lens bags, but all are much more expensive than the Ruggard. They include:
1) multiple bags made by LensCoat
2) Kinesis L511
3) Lowepro Lens Trekker 600 AW III (very big, very expensive)
I believe equipment sold here under the "Manfroto" brand name is manufactured in Italy and should be available to you, possibly under a different name (the equipment was originally sold in the USA under the "Bogen" brand name). A backpack called here Street Camera and Laptop Backpack is currently on sale from B&H for about $115 USD. It measures 17.5 inches (over 44cm) inside length. With interior dividers shuffled or removed that might fit the the big Tamron, no camera attached and hood reversed.
BTW: I had a Tammy 400 f4 for decades. It's an excellent telephoto. It worked very well with a Pentax 1.4XL converter.
Thank you. I was hoping to find something for 50€, basically I'm just looking for a bag with straps, but I may have to bite the bullet eventually if I can't find a fitting bag that's available here.
I hope to use mine for years to come as well
I got extremely lucky and found it at a justice department auction, mere days after hearing about it, and getting a K-3 ii on my birthday.
It's so rare that I've never seen it for sale anywhere since.
I'm using it with the Tamron 1.4x TC that came with it, and a Pentax-A adapter with aperture control. There's no image degradation that I can see with that TC.
Eventually I may get a Pentax F 1.7x AF teleconverter to "add" a bit of autofocus capability, I have many manual lenses.
