Tree swallow & a northern water snake. The snake was streaking across a pond and was way out there, so the second image is a deep crop. Panasonic G9 + Olympus 300mm f4 with Olympus 1.4X TC

I went to Tsumagoi Village over the SPRING holidays this year.
First, I will upload some photos of Japanese Serow.

#1

#2 It was a rainy day.

#3 Japanese serow was eating leaves of wild thorns.

Mountain Bluebirds. Had to crop these quite a lot as I had no way to get closer. Taken from the window of the truck. Any time I got out they fly away.

Pileated woodpecker, seen more commonly now than 20~30 years ago, which is encouraging. Unless the light is just right the black feathers have little or no texture in a photograph.

I like to do landscape photography with a long focale.
I though that one was pleasing for the eyes...
