These are all great photos, but I especially liked the second photo, the first of the two pics of the narcissus flycatcher. Very well captured, and a very pleasing bird to see!

My son had a short-term study abroad program at WEST MAC in Ipswich three years ago.

Some Spring warblers from a trip to the Point Pelee and Rondeau parks on the north shore of Lake Erie.

Yellow Warbler



Prothonatory Warbler - usually more easily seen at Rondeau but we saw five at Pelee

Beautiful bird photos. Were you in a hide or otherwise very close? the quality seems too good for extreme crops. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mikesul - no hide, just a bit of experience with the best places to visit (after a 3-year absence due to COVID) and some patience. I think I am often able to crop more with the K-3 III than I did with the K-3. I found that the "active area" settings helped. Newly arrived warblers are often so hungry that they don't pay much attention to people, though they are hard to track as they barely stop moving. The Canada Warbler especially seemed to know that it was putting on a show, as it disappeared then returned for very close shots several times.

Thanks Weevil - don't forget Rondeau, which is about an hour east of Pelee. If anyone is going there, ask about the "Pony Barn" trail, which isn't on the official Park map.
By the way we heard more Quebec French than English speaking people on the trails at Pelee!
