bald eagle out on a limb on the southern shore of Spieden Island, one of the most enchanting of the San Juan Islands. The 516-acre island is privately owned, and boaters may not go ashore anywhere on the island.

These shots were taken on the Audubon Swamp trail at Magnolia Plantation outside of Charleston, SC. They were in a nest in a pine tree at lake's edge. My FA* 400 works great with my K3 mk3 but its noisy. The nest was only about 25 feet away at eye level. Hard to meet up a shot like this. Both images were cropped modestly.
