This is our resident groundhog/woodchuck. Last summer it had a horrific injury to its left paw. It really looked bad. When it disappeared earlier than usual to winter over we honestly thought nature had taken its course. Imagine our surprise when about 5 days after we arrived so did the groundhog. We were so pleased to see it. As you can see it has lost the last digits from the left paw. It seems to cope well with the disability. Considering ⅔ of the occupants of the cabin are handicapped too it will blend in with the rest of us. It is nicknamed Trespasses Will after Winnie the Pooh and we usually call it Trespasses:

So happy it survived. So cute!

Good detail in the feathers. Hand held with 300mm + 1.4X TC? You don't consume as much coffee as I do.

Thanks.
I'm finding hand holding this combination usually a lot easier to keep steady than the DFA 150-450.
The DFA 150-450 + 1.4x TC at full stretch is the most difficult, coffee or no coffee.

Cheers,
Terry

Due to the long tail, my K3+500/F4.5 is not able to cover the bird in the frame, I quickly changed to another setup - K5-IIs + DA*300 to shoot this Asian Paradise Flycatcher.
