One lens that still intrigues me is the old SMC 1000 mm / F8 but there are almost none reviews out there on a modern FF sensor. On Ebay several pristine K1000's are offered for decent prices.
Two questions are in my mind:
1. In film days cropping was a loss of IQ because of grain in high ISO film. But nowadays digital sensors offer much more flexibility. Would a picture taken on a K1 with such an old K1000 result in better IQ as a cropped picture taken with an A400? Long old tele's no way have 36 MP of resolution I suppose...
2. There is a report this K1000 is very vulnerable for sensor reflection (at least at a Sony A7II). Is there anybody out here who could tell how this lens performs on a K1?
