Victor

I did not know you have a 400mm lens . Is that handholdable? Love the last image with good isolation

yes, it is handholdable, it is not that heavy with my K10 The first and second pic was taken with handhold in a cloudy day.

suresh pardeshi I modified your post and if you are looking for a lens. You should post a thread in the wated items forum of the marketplace. Ask people to send you a note via PM not posting your cell number or email address in the internet.

I'm sure this has been said before but why don't Pentax just start a 'classics' line and start cranking out the 300mm F2.8 again? I have noticed a certain on line retailer is listing the sigma 300 f2.8 in pentax fit, anyone got any experience with it?

Pentax F* 300mm f4.5 and 1.7x teleconverter.
Quite heavy crops.

Have Pentax DA* 60-250mm coming in 2 days time, does it count in this thread if I use the TC

300mm isn't exactly long (in actual physical length) at all particularly A300mmF4 when it is compared with the F2.8 version

From A300mmF4

I can't use a manual lens like Daniel in shooting BIF. I need to have more failures before I can get to a BIF picture with manual focus. I try it with my latest purchase of a Tokina SD 400mm f/5.6, it is just too difficult to hold a 400mm and have the bird in the frame.

So here are some still shots that I manage with the lens, the lens is decent as a manual focus with 'A' setting.

It would be nice if some owners of Tamron SP 300mm f/2.8 adaptall (60B) and other variants in tele-lens to share their thoughts on the Tamron SP tele-lens that can be adapted to Pentax.

Thanks,
Hin

Sure Hin, I've been waiting for a chance to shoot my 65B 400mm f/4 Tamron SP again and I came across some Turkey Vultures this morning... Here's the best of the series..

SMC Pentax M 400/5.6

Kind of dreary and damp here in Waterloo today. A few birds dropped by for portraits.
