Does this mean pretty soon we're going to see another link in your signature to wonderful photos sorted by lens? A little DA15|DA21|FA31|DA40|DA70 action? Bummer, you won't be able to get another limited without destroying the symmetry
Thanks very much for the compliment, of course yes but first I have to take some decent photos which is the hard bit, buying gear is easy.

Get all three and the symmetry will still be balanced.

Just a suggestion

Finally got my gear! K-5 + Grip.. my ordered lenses (18-135mm WR and 50mm f1.4) didn't come in with it though! So the former shop owner sold me his mint, barely used 43mm Ltd for a good price and now I'm lucky enough to qualify for this club!
Here is a just the beginning of good things with this beauty lens!

#1 My little sweety showing me her muscles. 43mm Ltd @f1.9/ISO 320/ 1/40sec

#2 One of our long lasting(surprisingly) house plants. 43mm Ltd @f1.9/ISO 100/ 1/8sec

There's something consistently wonderful about the way these FA Limiteds render areas out of focus. I can't even quite place it... It's not just the smoothness, I think it's the way it transitions to OOF, somehow even the bright rings around some out of focus highlights -- which often look garish to my eyes coming from other lenses -- have a bit of magick about them here. Maybe I'm just blinded by the alleged pixie dust.

I have a feeling I will eventually become a member of this club. I wonder which would be the best for me, so I know where to direct my lust.

If I had to choose I would probably prefer the 31mm, but getting the 43mm at a good price compared to tracking down and finding a 31mm in mint/near mint or worse off brand new... that amazing 31mm is a bit out of the budget for now. But now owning the 43mm I think the 77mm would be a better choice for my next limited just due to its range.

Well, I already have the 35 Limited, so I think for the cost of an FA Limited, the 31 and 43 would be a bit too close in focal length to make that worthwhile, so I would probably go with the 77. I think if I didn't have the 35/2.8, and was looking for something in that range I would prefer the FA43 over the 31 just because it's smaller (and cheaper!).

Those are absolutely fantastic! You certainly know how to use that lens to the best of its abilities. Care to cross-post them to the POTW thread?

Hello fellow forumers,
I would like to join this club by purchasing the fa 43 but have the dilemma of choosing between the silver and black versions. Could someone please post some pictures of a silver one on a black camera or point me in the direction of some images.

Cheers

That's something I haven't seen and for good reason... it would look horrible!

Why not choose black for a black camera?

I have a silver 43mm on my black K-5, I'll get a shot of it with my phones cam.
