I have always wondered about the macro FA limited question: can you avoid needing a macro lens by reversing a 43 on a 77? Does it retain any IQ?
I use a simple screw-on macro adapter with the FA 77 Limited and get shots like the following. Of course a true macro lens will give you much greater flexibility, but the IQ is certainly there!

My God I love that lens!
Just when I'd managed to convince myself that I didn't need the FA77 as I have the 50-135 covering this FL, you go and post these crackers! TBH, when I do eventually get round to my next lens purchase, I have my eye on the DA15 so the 77 may have to wait a couple more years!

Love the blue and purple hue of the shot!

I'm wondering if anyone has macro shots taken with a FA 43mm Ltd and a macro adapter like the Raynox 150 or 250. I've seen lots of 50mm 1.4+Raynox 250 shots, but no 43mm shots!

They would be very similar. Give it a shot!

I prefer the longer focal length of the FA77 for this purpose.

Hello, my new K-5 just arrived and managed to test it around the house with the 43mm that I was recommended around here, needless to say the lens is fantastic, even with amateurish and quick camera work:

@rustynail

Looks like an oil painting. I like it.

Obviously not in downtown Manila, where is this?
