Real life shots I see no vignetting but I've been waiting for a blue sky to test it out.

I Learned about it while I was searching for a better hood for the fa 31. Credit goes to another member on this forum, whose name I can't remember atm.
The hood is from a Janco 58mm 2 piece lens adapter tube for panasonic fz18. The only piece of value is the front tip with a 58mm male and female thread. I bought it on amazon for $12~ shipped, which id gladly pay for again since it looks much cleaner than stacking empty lens filters.

Nice shots guys! Been away over the long weekend.

All FA43-

Wide open-

Wide open-

Wide open-

K-5 AF.C had no problems getting Focus lock on moving target even wide open -

This nicely made chair was atop one of the dunes, written on it was "Carls seat, please enjoy but please do not remove or destroy." I sat on it for a good 10mins watching my kids play down below.
Shot wide open-

More to come later on......

Great stuff, Simon. I love your monochrome conversions, and those top two look like film; Almost something in the Portra family, maybe; I can't remember what they called their portrait film before portra... I used to know, doggone it.

I shot a ... "family reunion" of sorts this weekend, with only the FA43 and my K-5, no battery grip, no bag of lenses, nothing like that. The thing that really gets me about that lens - and your beautiful images here demonstrate it in spades - is the ridiculous crispness and separation. I hear people talk about how soft it is wide open, but i have twenty or thirty wide-open images from this weekend that I can measure the threadcount of the subject's clothes. And by f2.8, it's down to "I can count the pores in your face in a head-to-waist shot." It did miss focus several times, but not excessively so.

Once again, beautiful images, as always.

Thanks Steve Yeah i gave those top two a old film look in PP, the FA43 is one really great lens and it excells at seperation/isolation.
