a sample from my FA43. Still learning how to master sharpness, though I believe this isn't too bad for wide open...

The ilford scan is horrible, although it's clear both lenses works much better than on APS-C.

Because the shots in this thread taken on digital are rubbish.

Phew, good thing I didn't do the scans

As for the film versus digital FA Limited debate here's what I think:

FA77 -- I actually like it on APS-C better. Hard to beat a small 115 mm f/1.8 lens

FA43 -- I could go either way. 43 mm is a better walk around general purpose focal length but 66 mm is a good interior candid lens.

FA31 -- like it better at its 31 mm focal length. I've always said if I had the FA31 on a digital FF camera I'd have a hard time using anything else.

In what way are they horrible?
Apart from a small amount of dust, I think they look great. Some nice shots by Urkeldaedalus.

I've been lurking this thread for a little while and recently received an FA-77. Lovely lens; been waiting 'til I take some better photos with it before sharing

I wouldn't have said horrible, but they have a fair amount of aliasing/jaggies, for one thing.

It's OK, but this «115mm» looks flat compared to the real 115mm on film/FF
