If anyone has a picture with one mounted on the camera could you post it? Thanks
Dunno how doffernt it would look from sitting beside any other black body but here are two shots of the 77ltd mounted on my K20D...of course you will probably want it mounted on a K7 or 10D instead hehehehe....

These are not great shots as I ttok them with what might have been the worst P&S I ever owned, a Camedia C-60 Zoom (can't toss it since my better half thought it was a nice thing to buy me... I just never know what the shots will look like even if I try...she meant well but paid like $700 for the thing):

77mm Ltd Hood retracted:

77mm Ltd Hood extended:

hope that gives ya a better idea...

the thread was not created to compare FA's with other limiteds or other lenses.
It was created to display FA limited images for others to enjoy.

I didn't realise I implied it was.
I'm sorry you understood my remark in that way.

hey, cool...glad those shots helped ya!! When I order the silver version I have never seen one live. I had 'doubts' but jsherman in my intro thread was really positive I would love the finish. And I really do...to me it's 180-degrees different from the awful white L's (I died a bit inside whenever I had to use one...).

Today I was told if I am a 'good boy' I was told I could have a 31ltd sooner rather than wait until my christmas prezzie... And that scares me somehow....hehehehe..

No... really, I longtime convinced myself that I would be a DA limited user, since I shoot APSC and I'm a compact design fan and don't like to pay too much for glasses, but really you destroyed all my thoughts, mainly over the 43 that was the limited I considered less...

Fountain detail and some lotus flowers

Taken with the 77 and K20D.
Detail of a fountain inside the NYBG Conservatory. I'm really happy how this shot came out.

imho, the lotus is one of the most photogenic of all flowers. Here are some reasons why I believe that.

I'm also really happy how that last shot came out. White flowers in bright overhead sun are a bitch to meter, it seems that no matter what you do there are BOTH severly underexposed and overexposed bits. I've found the best solution for me is to dial in some +ev and then underexpose, and then fix the underexposure in PP. Sounds a bit weird but it seems to work.

Mis(set the camera to M mode, spot metering and RAW, meter the brightest spot on the flower, then set exposure 2 stops higher, take photo and in post processing bring the exposure down to taste; you will probably need to play with the 'fill light' and/or 'recovery' sliders, depending on your artistic vision)erere

Thanks Miserere, have got it written down in my little note book. I'll give your method a good try out.

An Ugly Fish

43ltd - shot in very low ambient, fish behind glass.
Technically, not a great shot, but he is just so ugly, I find him appealing

I'm going to apologize in advance for dumping 5 images in here.

The 43mm is my favorite lens. It's the lens that comes with me no matter where I go, no matter what I'm intending to shoot. It's also the lens I keep on the camera at home for grab-shots.

I love the backgrounds it gives, allowing the main subject to pop

It also makes a good tight-in landscape lens

or not so tight-in landscape lens

It just happened to be on the camera when I came across this scene

I gave this one a little soft-focus treatment in-camera, though the background was already creamy
