Well, with regards to 55...not sure yet, in past 4 months it was responsible for around 60-65% of my shots and has rewarded me with many stunners (IMO that is). I have half of the buying price for 43 taken care of and as for the rest I think FA100 will be the victim. I love it's output but very rarely use it. Having said that I'll have to wait and see how the 43 and 55 will get along, if they won't one will have to go, shall that be 43 again, I'd focus on getting FA*28-70, shall that be 55 then DA70 would be first on the list to pair with 43. In ideal world, I'd keep 24+55 as my "big guns" and try to get DA70 later to go with 43 as my light weight kit...
We'll see, with my selling/buying habbits one never knows...

Is the FA*28-70 really 'that good'? They go for large sums online. I know where I can get one for $960 but I have seen them go for $1400 on eBay lately. I was thinking of buying this one just to try it out and maybe sell it for a profit if it didn't work out. BTW, I just bought a Sigma 50 F1.4 and it's a tasty lens.

One more shot from my recent holiday in Italy. This was a pleasantly lit part of the beach in Terracina. The FA even manages to produce some star bursts, though I do acknowledge they're a far cry from what the DA 15 Ltd can perform.

The shot was taken semi-hand-held (the camera was propped on a stone, but I held it in my hands all the time).

[FA 43; 10 s; f/ 2.8; ISO 200]

FA 43mm

Soft, because it is wide open (f1.9, @200 ISO, K20D). And, yes, her hair is purple.

Good! Perhaps it is just because I compare it to when it is stopped down a bit. It is really sharp then and, of course, it has more depth of field making it look sharper.

4 months ago when I got DA*55 I decided to sell off FA lts (43+77 that is) and despite being happy with the DA* the lost FA lenses kept haunting me. Then, over last few weeks, I decided to give a 31 go (this one is pretty much glued to my wife's K-x I never use) on my K-7 and....
Anyway, black 43ltd is paid for and should be with me by Tuesday! Can't wait...as for 77, it'll have to wait if I'll rebuy it all...shall be posting soon
Yeah, I know exactly how it feels like, Peter.....also sold my FA77 and FA43 and kept only FA31. While I don't miss 77 cause it was more-than-replaced by da70, FA 43 is also luring me into getting a new one (this time a black one) but fortunately currently I don't have any money left for that. Man, this buying/selling lenses just went all over my head....something like 20 lenses allready passed through my hands, but nowadays I keep kit of 5 lenses and that's it. Just that FA43 keeps luring me all the time and FA31 is not helping (!) to resist that call.....

Simon that is one ugly little creature.

Well you guys, I haven't touched my camera in a long time, but I'm back for today at least to dilute this thread's greatness with some of my photographic mediocrity. To that end, with the 43 this morning:

you can be trying to sound as humble as you wish posting statements as above but the shots like the one below are what makes this thread so enjoyable to sift through!
