Gorgeous photos, deadwolfbones! Beautiful colors and sharpness!

Got these two with the FA 77 yesterday. The doll photo is just one of those I took while waiting for a co-worker to return to her office. A stupid silly shot, but for some reason, I really like it. I think it must be maybe some of that pixie dust working.

A few from a series of photos I took last summer in Chicago (most of them from an architectural boat tour along the Chicago River). What an amazing city - a photographer's dream.

All with the Kx + FA31
Great shots and classy processing!

Nice shots guys!

I recently went through some older shots and decided to re-work a few of them,
this is one of them-

FA77

and a quick shot of the cat with the FA77 wide open-

Thank you, bickrs! That is such a great shot of your son! He looks like he's having so much fun.

Simon, those are great - I especially LOVE the cat portrait!

Some recent film shots with the FA43 and FA31. Before anyone yells me again for poor quality scans, I know the scans probably aren't the best It's just supposed to give you an idea of how the lenses look on film (in this case, Kodak Portra 160)

FA43

FA31

Like the 31
It's just impossible to see something as wide and sharp and fast with our tiny sensors )

Great photos! I like this last one the best. Makes me yearn for wide FOV and narrow DOF!

Here's another example from the roll (FA31 again) for why it's nice to be wide with narrow depth of field.

On the other hand, shooting people with a wide angle especially on film can be pretty easy to screw up. Distortion can make people look unflattering or downright ridiculous pretty easily.

I would agree that it is tough for lens makers on an APS-C SLR camera to make good fast wide angles, although I'm not sure if I agree that it would be impossible. Just probably large and expensive Mirrorless makers have come out with some good ones. Sony, Samsung, Ricoh, Olympus and, of course, Leica, all have good performers that are 30 mm equivalent or wider for APS-C cameras.

Very nice photos Urkeldaedalus!!

Great 3D effect on those film shots. The FA31 just screams to be shot on it´s original FOV.

Please Ricoh, Bring out the Pentax FF soon!!!!
