I noticed right off is that the FA31 definitely focuses much much closer than the Sigma.
with a bit of cropping the FA31 can be used as a pseudo-macro lens, on 35mm full frame the close focusing is extremely handy for near-far compositions.

FA31mm FL is definitely hard to use...at least for me, I still haven't mastered it quite yet

Several months ago, I got an FA31 for my k-x. Have really enjoyed getting to use it. Here are a few pics that I have obtained in my efforts to learn how to use it.

I'm out of ideas, guys. But they decorated the Space Needle for Christmas, so...

The weather forecast promised better skies but hey, it's late November and you could at least see Mount Rainier (if only the base).

Nice shot!
I noticed the FA77 is crossed out in your sig, did you sell it recently in favour of the FA*85?

No, I'm selling my pentax gears.
And I wouldn't prefer FA* 85 to 77Ltd: it's too heavy and boring (although AF speed is excellent).
