But the nikon 35mm f1.4 is much bigger and heavier no? That's my issue with f1.4 glass for dslrs
I have the same problem with my Leica noctilux 50mm f/0.95 ASPH - weighing in a 720 grams with the hood(which is a necessity) I wish it was as light as a f/1.4 lens *

The current Leica Summilux 50mm f/1.4 ASPH weighs 337 grams with the metal hood on.

Great shots - what are the strobist details out of interest?
Cheers - I think they were Metz 58 AF-1 @ 1/32 camera off centre high right through white umbrella. Cactus v5 triggers.

Completely agree.

My son is now 15 years old and looks away when I point the camera his way. Enjoy this time and take tons more pics.

Thank you - My wife and I were remarking the over day how much he's grown in the last few months since our daughter was born. I don't have a great deal of photos from when I was a kid, so hopefully they will appreciate this when they're older... (past their teens, of course )

My wife usually makes faces when I try to take shots of her (seeing as she is usually my test subject haha), there is of course a nice corresponding one of me, but I wont bore you with that one

Managed to get one I like a lot (while waiting in line to get to a food event), if I bribe her with food it seems to work a bit better

I am also starting to think that these FA Limiteds were basically made to take photos of ppl/faces in nice light, seems to be where I get the best results with them (where the RAW files almost look finsihed)

Also just moved to LR4 from 3.6, I cant put my finger on exactly what it is but it seems way better and way easier to get the results I intend with less adjustments
