Fa 31

I am becoming a fan of this lens. May not be great in terms of composition and subject matter, but the color, contrast and rendering continue to wow me (with AF-540 bounced off of the ceiling):

nice shots - rare to see anyone else using the FA43mm f/1.9 Special - which rangefinder are you using it on?

Thanks for the kind words, especially from an excellent photographer like you. I'm using an M3 and am quite happy to use a setup that consists of two of my favourite companies.

I use mine on a Hexar RF - just to offend leicaphiles. I have several M3 bodies and I still use them - in fact, I'm running my last stocks of Kodak-T max 100 through my favourite cameras at the moment. The M3 with its high viewfinder magnification the M3 is excellent to use the Leica noctilux 50mm f/1.0 lens. Are you using the external viewfinder with your FA43 f/1.9 Special? I actually use a viewfinder made by voigtlander that they provide with their 40mm f/1.4 Nokton - because I'm afraid I will lose the original pentax viewfinder.

Haha, use it on a Zorki to offend the highest of rangefinder snobs. Surprisingly my M3 gets almost as much attention as my TLRs, especially with the Pentax VF attached, but pretty much everyone, Leica guys and even fellow Pentaxians, have no idea about the lens. I'm using the Pentax VF at the moment and thanks for the idea about using the Voigtlander VF because I share the same concern.

My favorite lens is the 43, but I get shots I'm happier with using the 77...
