I'm liking this lens a lot. Its been under the Christmas tree for over 6 weeks!

Have had FA 77mm for a while, and only used it today for the first time. I was using flash for pictures of a model, and then I said to myself how it would be to shoot in natural light. The result was stunning - the picture was simply converted to BW using lightroom and resized, no other PP. I am starting to love this lens!

Beautiful shot but it sure doesn't look black & white to my eye...more like a desaturated shot...the facial skin tone & eyes look very close to natural, nice job!

I used the "cold tone" preset in LR - whatever it does

Don't do portraits much, so a lighting class gave me a good opportunity to try out the 77....

Well... presets are not "magic" - you try them all, and go with the best look you are looking for. Also, if you know LR well, go with the Develop module where you can control everything.
