Axl

love the first shot mate... the second is also great , not sure if it is me or the walkover in the background is built with a slight slope but it makes the rest of the shot look eneven. No offense intended.

cheers

Neil

I agree great shot

such a vast contrast of lifestyle between the subject and the magazines that the photo leads ones eyes to.
Not the mention the IQ gained from this magic lens

Cheers

I agree, like, too. Very cool. (And I'm not easily impressed with street shots.)

FA77 in Spain

Here are two from my visit to Spain last week. This is the famed Mezquita in Cordoba, a truly astounding mosque/cathedral hybrid. Taken with the FA77 under appalling lighting conditions. These show arches in red and white, both old and new. The stone in the old ones was taken from a pre-existing Roman building and so is even older than 900AD.

Do owners of FA Limited's use any osrt of protective filter(s) on their lenses?
If yes, does it affect the IQ of the images and what type/brand of filters are you using.
Interested to know because I am considering the limited's.

A filter just degrades IQ. It'll protect against scratches but if the (weaker) filter shatters it can actually end up doing more damage to the front element. Hoods protect against damage much better than filters, IMO.

Nope.. Just take care of them and you'll be fine. I wouldn't pay $1000 for a lens to put a $10 piece of glass in front of it. (wouldn't pay the grand either ). The 43 and 77 come with hoods (built in on the 77) so they are pretty well protected from accidental bumps. The 31 has a built in as well but the glass is a little easier to get at. Still somewhat protected though.

I really like the 43mm I just picked up. Bokeh works great for me, haven't seen a situation where it didn't.
