We had a new little girl join our household a few days ago... These are my daughters Anna and Victoria with the FA 77.  | |

The clothes tend to pop, even through I still look from work. If browser and flickr set to full screen of your image, even from work with the soso monitor, the left shoulder clothes on the right of the photo is extremely realistic and seems to pop out of the image. The only issue is that it catch my eyes on it then while it not really the main subject. Funny it was taken with FA77... Well all lense with good micro contrast exbibit it, but some lense have it more than some others. FA43 is maybe the best one for that in Pentax land. | |

As you've noted, it is certainly true that the 43 gives the effect too. And some forum members who use both the 43 and 31 have noted that the 31 gives the effect too, although not as strong as on 43.
