In general, deliberately "limiting" oneself artistically, in terms of available tools/options/resources, tends to encourage creativity - one tends to get fresh ideas/results which might not otherwise have happened.
That was my thinking.

Also, since this is a family vacation, the less I mess with gear the happier everyone (else) will be.

As such, I'm eager to see your upcoming vacation pictures, shot with the venerable FA43 ...

Happy holidays!
Thank you again!

The green knob on the FA Limiteds

Dear Pentaxians.
Did you know that the green knob on the FA Limiteds is made of silver with a bamboo-green vitreous enamel applied? The green is an homage to beryl and emerald that were used in some of the first magnifying lenses and eyeglasses. The enamel is because the team liked pottery.

From my recent wedding shot, this was a spontaneous snapshot, not a posed pictured.
I prefer those anyway

The 31 1.8 Limited was on my K-3 most of the wedding. Great field of view, great performance.
I love this lens so much, it's scary sometimes.

Had a photo shoot this morning with the lovely Dacota who I haven't worked with in about a year (my K-01 days). Thought I'd try for a color after all the B&W I've been doing lately.

And now the B&W:
