Jack is the first dog in our family (to go with three cats)... there's a learning curve, but we're pretty happy!

Of course, the cats still rule the roost...

Just received my FA 43 in the mail today (purchased from the Marketplace), and after a few quick snaps -- I'm really loving it. Got a little taste of the 3D pop with that monster-face picture of my daughter, and I really liked how it handled the light purple pansy (a color/texture I usually struggle with, depending on what I'm using).

Very nice play between light and dark in this one! (What flash did you use?)

I would crop off the top 20-25% of the picture if it were me, but it is a very nice shot in any case.

Nice shot. I think the extra height gives the picture great depth -- really like it.

Thanks guys. I don't normally shoot at iso 1600 but it was the only way to get a decent amount of the ambient light into the shot. I used the AF540GZ Flash and I prefer the extra height as well as it shows where the light is coming from and kind of completes an hourglass type shape which I like from a composition standpoint since I was going for more of an environmental portrait.

77 arrived today and the boys were looking cute (but dirty, I'm afraid - too cold to bath them at the moment as they're getting on).

Lovely lens and I look forward to learning how to get the best out of it!

First go at flash too.
