Very nice, repaap... I'm curious as to how you're finding the FA 43 as a landscape option--I've always thought of that lens as more of an "urban," walk-around lens compared, say, to the FA 31 or some of the legacy 28mm options, but it seems as if it's getting the job done in your hands!

Tested FA 77mm in low light yesterday. It can be extremely sharp, all not extremely sharp pictures is my focusing and setting error. It was my very first time studio shooting yesterday, too many people and not much time to think. The lens is an ideal for studio, love it. I did not upload the sharpest portraits because they are not flattering, again, my fault.

NIce shot, LeRolls. What type of lighting setup do you use for images like "Karissa At Sunrise", a few posts up, with strong back-lighting?

THx

On the shot of Marina, I find the yellow sunlight on her hair and skin clashes with the green moss on the rock. Maybe try B&W on this one.

The Karissa shot was my standard setup with off camera flash and lightsphere modifier. Thanks BTW. As for the shot with Marina most people seem to like the colors. My understanding is that green is the combination of yellow and blue. All three colors are present in this image which to me would mean they should complement one another.

Like many beautiful women in this world the harder you try to hold on to them the more easily they slip through your fingers...

Sometimes it's best to let them go out and experience what the rest of the world has to offer. If they choose to come back of their own accord then maybe it was meant to be.

Normally I like B&W a lot but in this case I will go with the color since it imparts a more pronounced vision of the model.

Very nice, especially the second. I'm still a bit partial to my 31mm but I haven't spent as much time with the 43mm to really say one way or the other.

No worries, as you've demonstrated...there are plenty of models in the sea and the best thing to do is just get right back out there and catch some. Oh and remember to post them here when you do

I do have also 28 and some wider option for landscape. But scenes like this, it is quitegood. You can have composition and some terrain in shot. More so than 77mm. Which is for me more precicelly composed things/portraits...and 43 is really sharp and contrasty too. For this kind of stuff, really nice.

Thanks for elaborating, the FA 43 has always been on "The List," so it's nice to know it's a versatile AF option. (Of course, the FA 77 isn't half-bad, either....)
