I've been looking at the 77, actually pulling the trigger on a new one for less than $680 before cancelling it a few minutes later to be certain that's the lens I really want. This past weekend I carried the D FA100 with me and TBH there were a number of times I would have preferred I didn't need to be quite so far from the action. I don't know if the 77 would put me there or not, and I'm suspecting "not". I'm now leaning more towards the FA43. I don't have a lot of interest in doing typical portraiture work (ala Le Rolls but I love the subject matter!) which seems to be the plus point for the 77 over the 43, am I correct?

In any event I'm really trying to up the quality of my glass while reducing the quantity. There's at least 3-5 more lenses deserving of a better home that I'll be selling, and I've already parted ways with a few others.

Does love 'em and leave 'em make me a "player"
