Digitalis, you have such beautiful pictures, but they are in such ridiculous small resolution, that I have to use magnifying glass to enjoy them at fullest

Nice short of the church Rondec. I like your processing - that maintains a very natural look.

How do images from this lens(FA 31) compare to those shot from your 24-70 at a similar focal length?

Have you tested them head to head? I recently bought the 24-70 and am quite happy with it; but don't know how it compares to those of the FA 31.

Thx

Thank you.

The FA 31 is obviously smaller and has a faster aperture than the 24-70. It really isn't that much different at apertures that I shoot with for landscapes -- unfortunately, the FA 31 flares quite a bit -- maybe more than the 24-70. It is really sharp, but then so is the DFA 24-70 at f11. Colors are maybe a bit different. I have always thought the FA limiteds had a bit of a warmish feel to their colors.

Anyway, I think the biggest benefit for the FA 31 is if you are shooting with wider apertures than f4 and you really like a 30-ish mm lens. Personally, I am hankering for 20-ish mm prime, but the FA 31 stands in for it sometimes.
