FA 43mm wide open, at high ISO and not properly focused but I like it.

Love the moment, and the ambience.👍

Indeed sometimes, a good picture may not be totally technically perfect.

That's great! Inspired choice to put the flash behind to backlight the critter - definitely has a nocturnal vibe about it!

Jumping in even though I'm not the one you asked... There are no autofocus adapters for K-mount lenses, not even a rumor for Nikon, and not yet for Sony. One is currently in the works for Sony by small Chinese company MonsterAdapter, but who knows when it will actually be available. So, all EXIF and much speed is lost, but no issues with infinity focus on any mirrorless body.

I didn't get my Limiteds until after switching to a Sony body years ago, but although the focus throw is very short and light, the experience is still pretty nice when adapted to a mirrorless body. FA77 is my second-favorite lens ever, even without autofocus.
B&H will be selling the Monster Adaper expecting to ship this month.

Brass/bronze is mainly used for its auto lubricating properties (e.g. phosphor bronze, a type of copper and tin alloy), and yes, in corrosive environments, too. It all depends on the specific alloy. P bronze doesn't seize up like, for example, aluminium, which tends to because its protective corrosion layer is harder than the base metal. It's rather the opposite because phosphor tends to form low friction molecules. It's used in your engine oil's additives to keep it running smoothly in place of the earlier, toxic, lead.
Avoiding cracking is another matter that depends on the material toughness, elasticity (elastic deformation, rather than the catastrophic plastic one) and cyclic stress limit of the alloy. You can't have it all in one, so you have to make compromises and choose the right one depending on the expected working conditions of the piece, plus a little leeway. That leeway depends greatly on costs and safety. For a non human endangering piece you would try to make it as low as possible to save on material and thus costs, but keep it in a statistically reasonable failure rate for the products price point.

Apologies for cross posting in the Bokeh club, but I suppose it is appropriate here as well as these were clicked with the (now) new HD 31mm Limited. All pictures below were clicked at F1.8.

Another one also F1.8

F1.8 strikes again
