I just recieved my Pentax FA 77 Limited f/1.8 (Made In Vietnam) Silver Colored, for my K-7.

I didn't really specify color, so i was expecting Black, not sure how i feel about that actually..... But at least I'm a member of the club now!

I generally hate reflections/glare off of silver lenses in Sunlight, So i hope it's not an issue for me.

I will also be ordering an FA43 now, So i guess i should get that in Silver too?

I blame all of you for such nice shots in this thread, that i will end up with both the 77 and 43, even though i live alone and don't have anyone to take portraits of, So i don't know what i will do with my 77 now..... Go figure!

Where did you get the silver FA77 from? I was not sure that there was many silver ones still being sold new.

I ordered from Teds in Canberra, who just get them from CRK.
I will be ordering the 43mm as well in 2weeks so I will let you know if i get a matching set in Silver.

Cool, didn't realise you are in AU as well. I haven't bought any FA limiteds yet, but the FA77 is first on the list for me - not sure whether to get silver or black, hence wondering if silver is still an option for brand new lenses.

Yes it was my first choice for a "special" Pentax lens, and one of the reasons for going Pentax and the K-7 in the first place.

I found the FA43mm for $708 today in Silver.... So it seems i will be making it a matching set.
