Interesting. . . It looks like the cap on the 43 doesn't have an engraved "Pentax" like the 31 and 77. My 43 and 77 both do. Maybe because yours is the first version they didn't stamp the cap back then???
Indeed; on the first versions the "Pentax" name was applied on, not stamped. Also, on the first versions the silver finish of the lens cap was much finer (more silvery too) and the inner lining black.

Portrait of Flopsy

Not going to win any prizes I know, but I liked this shot of one of our bunnies which shows off the strength of the 77mm Ltd.

Really like the first one, an awesome capture. Found myself wandering around the photo looking at what everyone was doing.

A little nitpicky on my part, but i find the watermark a little distracting in that one, in the second one it's okay but the first it diverts the attention from the subject a little.

Thanks for the comments summonbaka. Unfortunately the watermark is staying and will likely be getting a bit bigger and a bit more prominent. Long story...

As watermarks go, at least yours has a cool design.

I don't mind watermarks at all, just said that that one was a little distracting. For example in the second it doesn't divert the eye. i think everyone here has seen worse. As was said above, as watermarks go it is a nice watermark. (though if someone really wanted to steal the photo it would only take to crop the image just a little below the mark and it would still be a really great photo, just pointing it out)

About it getting bigger, as long it's not a big © covering all the image and it doesn't get obstructive i think it's not bad to have a watermark. Thinking of doing it myself sometime. All in all, I've never had someone stealing my photos all of them being crapshit so I don't have background to talk about.

Well, i think I'm diverting the subject so I'll post a picture. I think I posted another one from this set before. Cosplayer at Comiket #77 (winter 2009), second day.

FA77 @f2
just a little crop and as much sharpening as I could. From the jpg if I'm not mistaken.

I can finally join the FA Limited Club

I bought a "made in Japan" FA77 from Voe from this Forum. It looks great and this is my very first click with the FA77 mounted.

No sharpening or any other "enhancements" done, just converted to B/H and resized:

I think I'm gonna like this little gem...
