Some first tries with my new lenses. Pretty sure the 31 and 43 have bf/ff issues and I'm still working that out:

Thanks!

So far the sharpness of these lenses wide open hasn't impressed me, but the bokeh is incredible (like I almost don't believe it).

Sharpness isn't all that great with these limiteds, subjectively I 'll rate the sharpness as FA43>fa77>fa31. But, only the FA77 I shoot wide open. The FA31, almost never, due to my subject selection with each lens.

When i purchased my first limited, the 31mm, i started pixel peeping and saw that, for example, the 50-135m is sharper wide open than the 31mm at any focal length. very quickly I realized that if you want absolute sharpness, the FA trio (maybe excepting the 43mm) is not the way to go. On the other hand, the exceptional rendering of colors, the excellent microcontrast and the fabulous bokeh give together images that stand out to any comparison to any brand.

It's no longer about sharpness for the FA limiteds. <;

DaniRo those are both lovely shots!
@deadwolfbones: as others have said, it's not the sharpness that made the FAltd trio so famous and desirable. The overall IQ combined with amazing build quality, small size and great compromise of features is that fact. Personaly though, I think that 31 produces the nicest images despite being softest and 43's output despite being the sharpest one, appears the most "ordinary" to me, while 77 is just about the perfect compromise IMO. However using terms like soft and ordinary is still very relative when describing these lenses, if you know what I mean...

thanks axl

I can only speak for my 31, the sharpness isn't the strong point of this lens, the limited bokeh and the colors are. I'm not saying it's not sharp but just isn't his strong point. I love it!

Now that is some nice detail on the first frog. Do you find a great difference between K-7 and K-10
with the same lens. I assume the upper is K-7. To me the first is the better of the two. Are these
wild or pets?
