That's a bummer, man. Which photo was it that was stolen?

On a happier note -- always love the photos of your family, you get some lovely and creative shots with the FA Limiteds and the DA15 of them.

Also Downfall... dude... good stuff.
Yeah it does leave a sour taste in your mouth not having control of where your photos might end up:ugh:
But thanks for the compliment It was the "Spin Me" photo.

Oh ok that makes sense I guess. I always watermark my images with flickr's edit photo option so I can customize its position depending on how the image is
Ok cool I never knew flickr could do that, I will give that a try, thanks

Anything posted to the net can be stolen. Any attempt to ameliorate that problem can only go part way. Those are two immutable laws.

My solution? 1. I don't post anything that might be particularly damaging if stolen. 2. I put a copyright at the bottom of the image so that those who use the image without malice (though in ignorance of protocol) at least manage to credit me.

Even then, some have objected to my watermark.

P.S. You can create your own watermark file, save as a PNG, and use that directly in Lightroom. Works very well so long as you resize to a standard width.

Yeah, I agree anything on the net can be stolen copied etc... thats the risk we take when uploading, at least it was only a lower res image, watermarking at the bottom is not enough, as they can just be cropped off.

That's why I wrote:

"I put a copyright at the bottom of the image so that those who use the image without malice (though in ignorance of protocol) at least manage to credit me."

It is not an attempt to prevent malicious copying.

Even if you put a watermark in the middle of an image it can quite readily be removed by anyone with skillz in Photoshop. Content-aware fill anyone?

Great shots, Downfall; I love the portrait the most. It conveys a sense of meaning. Great work.

#s 2 and 12 are great. What are you doing taking better photos on day 1 with your 77 than I am several months in?

I miss Canada Day! One year I was in a crowd of one million people in Ottawa. Quite insane. And every single person was having a good time.
