Indeed -- I have the 77 and yet for some reason just owning an inert metal tube with glass in it doesn't make my photos look nearly as good as his! ;-)
Simon & downfall are exceptional, true photographic talent IMO.

The more I see from you, and from Simon, with the 77 the more convinced I become that I *must* have it. Of course, the photographer is whats working here. Beautiful work, just lovely.

Great shots everybody. Particularly like deadwolfbones, TOUGEFC, JSherman and Swedes series.

One from Dinnertime this evening. We've just had some replastering done, so it made for quite a nice dark background.

Oh my! Thanks for the comments guys, made me really happy

Very nice image Bickrs, love the light in contrast to the dark background!

Here a few more portrait quickies from 77.

Hello, great shots all, I just joined the club with my 31 coming in the post yesterda

I've only had my K5 for a few months now and aspire to grace this post; which helped me decide for the prime over a zoom, with some shots soon as I get some real time with this lens. Though I think it may be some time I.E. practice with photography in general before I feel up to the level of most of these. Still you got to start somewhere...So for now here's one of my first shots with the 31 last night.

...and this shot from the back door tonight...

Keep up the awesome visions all.

Just joined the club!

Hi guys! I've been a Pentax user for about 3 years and been using the DA40 for about a year. I decided to upgrade to the FA31 coz I really wanted the faster speed, and also the fact that the FA31 is so special. And i did just that (though it burnt a hole in my pocket!). The FA31 is just something. I didn't believe in the 3D pixie dust, but after using it, there is just something about this lens! Below are some photos i took with the lens, with some adjustments (mostly contrast and black levels). I found that with the FA31, boosting up contrast and black levels really made the photo stand out, but which I cannot do using the DA40.

I know exactly what you mean

I also have the DA* 50-135, so I have the 77 range covered at least twice. The DA* 50-135 is great, but there's something different about the 77 (apart from the size ...) that I haven't worked out yet. I just know it's different.

Richard.
