Love the first one!

Though some more contrasty blacks could help (no?).

First photowalk in a while - it felt damn good to have a camera bag, and not a school bag on. Pretty typical tri/quad-polar vancouver weather, with lighting, rain, super high wind, and sunshine within about 30 minutes of each other. All taken with the FA43
I love the second photo too. The sharp edges and detail in the birds was nicely captured.

birdman59, you won't go wrong with either the 43 or 77.
However the FL of the FA43 is more versatile for me.

Great shots but I would have liked the 1st one much more had the girls walking across the scene been in sharp focus and right in the middle of the frame with the girl in the foreground, and the background trees, out of focus. The rendering of the trees is quite nervous - a surprise for a '31'. Did you do any major post processing and what was the aperture of the shot?

No disrespect meant here as I'm just trying to observe, and learn, from what other people are doing.

cheers
Steve

Thanks, no worries, I think you're right getting the walking girls sharp would have given it a bit more oomph. Aperture was at f2.8, no major post processing except some warming of the color temp.
