Alright, I'm convinced. The portrait orientated one is better.
Another vote for the portrait view. It makes me want to go back to your wonderful city.

Hi everybody,

I accidentally stumbled onto a website with very, very nice pictures taken with Pentax FA limiteds with various films...
There are some shots with other cameras and lenses as well, but I´m sure you will notice which lenses have the edge here..

(Never mind the words "Nikon fans" in the link... )

Thanks Sandy! Buenos Aires is a great city; it's expansive and has lots to offer. I'll try to share some more pics from here again soon, to tide you over until your next visit. I'm jealous of your trip to Iguazu, and of that DA* 300 you have.

Interesting stuff Twitch - Like the way the oof is rendered as well and also the colour.

I just picked up a wee ME Super for not very much the other day and looking forward to trying it out. Never tried film and keen to try.

One with the 31. X-posted from the pet thread because I like it.

Holy cow! These pics are out of this world.

Can't wait to get my hands on my newly ordered 43. I'll have to get lots of pics with that and then get the 77 later. This is almost as bad as my guitar addiction! Wait! Maybe I can take pics of my guitars!

Nice picture, interesting combo, and I really like the smooth OOF rendering.

I agree; the photo has a dreamlike pleasantness about it.

thanks - that image is a slight crop, but I was surprised how well the 43mm f/1.9 Special handled it. Yes it is a very interesting combination, not one I use very often to be honest. The 43mm f/1.9 behaves like a 55mm lens on the Leica M8.2 and I can get away with using the regular 50mm framelines on my M8. For cameras like the the full frame Leica M9, included with the 43mm f/1.9 pentax provides a beautifully constructed, multi-coated 43mm bright-line viewfinder because no off-the-shelf rangefinder I can think of have ever offered 40mm framelines - I rarely use the add on viewfinder because i'm afraid I will lose it, so I use a 40mm viewfinder from voigtlander as a substitute because it is easily replaced if it is lost.
