I have been looking at the vanguard cases for this type of thing, what option did you go for? pelican? or other?
yes, first things first, BUY THE GEAR!! then buy more gear...you get the idea.
I have pretty much fallen into a very comfortable set of lenses for my landscape shooting. i can always swap in the cosina or a vivitar or helios etc in place of one of the others. The foam can be repurchased when changing up the arrangement.
I bought Everest cases simply because a guy was selling a whole bunch locally and I got a great deal. They are rugged enough for me to stand on em(200 lbs) and have a watertight gasket around the lid, pressure release valve, sturdy hinges and locks and the ability to padlock the case shut.
