Just got my FA31 this morning.
Light crop, otherwise a straight raw to jpg conversion in camera

I'm generally not a fan of that style but I really enjoyed this one.

The FA77 Limited is particularly useful with extension tubes - because of the use of FREE on the FA77 spherical aberrations aren't as bothersome as they are on other lenses.

Pentax FA77mm f/1.8 Limited + 9mm extension tube - 1/250th f/5.6 @ ISO80

So want one. Got my bonus being paid this month and might grab one but can't make up my mind between the 31 and the 77. Both seem to take spectacular shots. I already have a DA35, while not in the same league I do already have a similar focal length prime. Closest I have to the 77 is my a Helios 44M-6. But that lens has its own different character.

Maybe rent both and then decide? I did, and as much as I liked the 31, I really don't shoot at that length much (so got the DA35 instead), so I got the 77, which I love, and which would never leave my camera if I didn't have to shoot indoors sometimes.

shot with the FA31, single shot double processed and fed into Photomatix for tone mapping.
Class! Fantastic shot! This is a F / 4 or F / 8?
