This is a test shot of a series of photos I want to print up for mothers day. Still learning my way around the FA77.

Pretty much what I am aiming at. Do three pictures. One before the bubble, one with bubbles coming out and one with bubbles in flight where the bubble is in focus and my daughter out of focus. I was shooting this wide open. Might stop it down a couple notches. I also need to make sure the bubbles fly towards me as today the wind was catching them and going sideways. So need to make sure I am set up a little better.

First submission on this thread

Well, better late than never. I finally purchased my dream lens, the FA31 Limited.

The lens is exactly what I was hoping for. At F5.6 and up, the rendering is very similar to my K28 3.5, which is a complement.
Of course, at wider apertures, the images are a whole new and wonderful world for me. As I get used to these new capabilities, I will post more.

I don't remember if I ever posted to this thread before, but here's a shot from a few weeks ago. I was walking around a cemetery in South Jersey with my FA31 Limited. Just a little old bird house

here's one with the FA31...we all took a bath that morning...a wave threw me down and pulled me out a little ways before another photographer ran over and held my camera and tripod head while i clung to the tripod legs. good times!

It's all good. I have come to learn that getting wide angle shots of a violent ocean often necessitate being "close" to the action. Oddly enough, instead of having all of my lenses in my vest pockets as I usually do, that morning, i was carrying everything in a hard case which I had set up on dry land. the big set of waves actually wrapped around the case and it started gliding out to sea but i was able to get to it in time. whew! Here is a 10mm view of the rising water just before the wave rolled in and clobbered me.

I felt like a helpless little twig being dashed around on the slick rocks.

The guy who rescued me, Matt, is far more loquacious; here is his account of the morning:

I have long admired the photos in this thread. Some of the most talented photographers on this site post regularly here. I previously got the FA 77 and love it, but recently acquired the FA 31 used from KEH. It has a few scratches on the barrel, but otherwise seems to work flawlessly. I can't get over the wonderful bokeh!

Here are a couple FA 31 shots:
f/3.5

f/2

And one FA 77:
