Ooh! That is a nice shot! Damn! I may have to bite the bullet and take advantage of that sale price on the 31 especially since this is the last day. Hmmm....
FA31 is the main reason make me pentaxian for ever. this lens has a special character!

Yup. The FA 31mm Limited and the K 50 f/1.2 are my second and third favorite lenses, respectively. My favorite lens is the FA 77mm Limited.

A friend is in Hong Kong this week trying to find me an A* 85mm f/1.4 and an A* 135mm f/1.8. Things of rarity.

Was on a business trip, when I found out that there was a tattoo convention a few blocks from my hotel, so I just sort of wandered in:

FA31:

FA77:

Both on a K7.

I've since moved away from shooting with a DSLR system, but if a compact K-mount FF ever materializes, I'd grab these 2 lenses in a heart beat.

Cheers.

Thanks! No I was in Cebu for a large conference and we had the privilege of a large demonstration of different dances from the region. These girls were backstage when I asked to take their photo. They were actually thrilled but I believe the dance may be death/mourning related so they quickly assumed this pose/expressions

Pentax primes make a photo scene go from ordinary to extra-ordinary when used with the right photographer.

I have a dozen or so lenses and really only use the 31mm and 77mm now, sometimes the K 50 f/1.2 for low light.

Nothing I've found that compares to those Limiteds. Pentaxians could save a lot of money overall by just getting the 31 and the 77 and not bothering with anything else.

I think you have a point there Parry. Good advice. 2 great lenses and you're good to go.

I am using the FA 43, DA 21 combo because as you know the FA 43 is the least expensive of the 3 amigo's. I bought mine new for $584. The 21 I purchased used for $325. I also have a DA*50-135 I couldn't pass up because of the price. Otherwise had I been starting out I would purchase the 31 & 77 as you suggested.
