I love them all. I have the 31, 43, and 77. Paired with K3, K7, and K5. They are all special in their own way or on my mood.

Agreed! I have mine paired with a white, black, and yellow K-01 but I think I will soon be getting a K-3 body as well for paid work.

Here's a Fa77 landscape shot

So sharp I think the Fa77 has a place for taking landscapes as well.

Nice portrait Chris.

I've been planning a shoot with a buddy/co-worker of mine for a few days now and when the time came the weather wasn't cooperating at all. I managed to grab this shot in between grey clouds and gloomy lighting. The sun peeked it's head out for a moment and we snatched the opportunity. I used a Manfrotto LED on a monopod with feet slightly out of frame to better illuminate his face which I think really helped. He was ecstatic when he saw the final finished shot which made me feel good. I really do love this lens!

I think all the FA Limiteds are quite sharp.

Oh and thanks!

What I forgot to say about the FA77 is that you can take landscape shots with it, even if it's not the first choice of many for that purpose.

Your welcome Chris.

a couple recent FA31 portraits

(My beautiful wife in Laguna Beach... Hard to decide between the above and this one... I think I prefer the above for the landscape and the linked one for the exposure on her...)

and one FA77

The spoons invited some friends over. Hopefully the beauty shines through the chaos.

Please end my pain with this 31mm Ltd thing. I just don't understand what is going on here.

This is at f/1.8, ISO 100, 1/6400 sec, handheld K-3 spot focus, no post-processing . . .

crop . . .

How come it's this bad, but under other circumstances can produce this following a lot of post-processing (LR5) . . .

K-5IIs, ISO 80, 1/80 sec, f/1.8 handheld.

---------- Post added 19-03-14 at 04:00 ----------

Do you lot have to post-process the granny out of this thing too?

I need to know, really.

This can result from a slightly out of focus image (LoCA). Try something like that with manual focus bracketing with just the tinyest steps and see how the colour fringes change.

I will. I need to get to the bottom of this, because I ain't putting up with a duff lens at this price. Thing is I get this for a majority of the 31mm shots and it takes so much to deal with in post.

If this is normal behavior for this lens wide open I'll accept that.

Just interested in other FA31 owners experiences.

(PS: This is not intended to stir trouble. This has been bothering me for a while as it is the most expensive lens I have).
