^ Rondec, I always love how you manage to capture such rich colors in your work.

Took my neglected first child out for a game of fetch. When he gets tired he rolls around on the ball as if it were a rodent he'd caught. FA 77

God I really want the 31 and 77. Scrolling through the photos here it's obvious their rendering truly is something special. Canikon eat your heart out.

Bought my first limited, the DA40, only a few weeks ago and I'm feeling the addiction already

Felt like shooting a still-life today but all my ideas fell through except this one. Still not sure how I feel about it. Feel free to share your thoughts as feedback is always appreciated. FA31

I love the individual elements in this photo but as a whole, it seems a bit busy. I think due primarily to the many fine details in the sheath.

I really like the textures and tones in this image, but if I'm being very critical I agree with JibbaJab. My eye wants to be lead to the blade, but it is caught on the hilt and the bright sand it's resting in.

[edit]

A thought, perhaps boosting the brightness of the end of the blade to match the base of the blade would balance the subject's tones out a bit?
